Wills and Trust Language
Bequest language that can be used in a gift by will or living trust:
I give and bequeath to Jackson Community College Foundation, a not-for-profit
corporation organized under the Laws of the State of Michigan
and having its principal office at 2111 Emmons Rd., Jackson, MI 49201
To make a cash bequest:
the sum of $_________ to
be used by Jackson Community College Foundation for its
general purposes.
To give a percentage of the
estate:
_______ percent of my estate
to be used by Jackson Community College Foundation for its
general purposes.
To give a residual amount
or remaining interest:
the rest, residue and remainder
of my estate after all debts, expenses and taxes have been paid and
all the general and specific bequests have been made, to be used by Jackson Community College Foundation for its
general purposes.
To give a tangible asset or
property:

shares of common stock of __________ (or insert here a description of
other property) owned by me at my death as these shares shall exist
at the date of my death, to be used by Jackson Community College Foundation for its general purposes.

if your client is transferring shares to the JCC Foundation.
We need to know the name and numbers of shares being transferred.
IRA rollover gifts must be accepted by the College, not the Foundation. We are considered a "supporting organization" and are excluded from benefiting from the PPA of 2006.
